OK, so I just realized we never posted anything about this past rockin’ summer! Wow – for starters, it was a whirlwind and went past faster than we could have expected.
(click “read the rest…” to read on)
Highlights of the summer were friends and family that came to visit. It was such a good time and if there is any regret, it is that we didn’t have more time with you all.
The new and improved 60′ slip and slide kept the good times rollin’, and the help/proximity of our dear friends the Buck’s just made it easy to be there and feel all was well with the world.
We did make it back up to the Portland area a couple times. One of which was on the 4th of July to hang with the Coxes and Hales.
Some other neat points on the summer include:
The O’Connor crew coming to visit!
Float on air mattresses down the South Umpqua river.
Chapel floor finally poured and walls nearly finished! Chris and Paul totally cranked out the roof this past winter in near freezing rain.
Storage unit (fondly called “the bunker”) started and more that 1/2 way done. I think we’ll make a separate post just on the bunker.
Hans went cold turkey of some medication that doctors said he would be on his whole life. He hasn’t taken any since – and, his health is totally recovered! (praise the Lord folks, praise the Lord).
That’s not nearly all that happened, but a least a taste. Anyone in for summer 2008?
